Voice of vienna: Austria believes one of its senior military officers spied for Russia
Austria, traditionally being neutral, is not a member of Nato and is considered by many as one of the EU member countries with the friendliest ties to Russia. The country did not expel Russian diplomats after the Skripal affair in the United Kingdom.
As reaction to the case, Austrian Foreign Minister Karin Kneissl has cancelled a planned trip to Moscow. The foreign ministry also summoned a high ranking Russian diplomat.
Russia has denied the allegations.
